2018 Spring Lecture Series #3: Four Season Garden Design

March 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Berry-laden branches of Ilex verticillata ‘Winter Red’ deciduous holly

Peggy M. Singlemann, Maymont’s Director of Park Operations and Horticulture, has designed, planted and maintained historic and specialty gardens at the 100-acre estate for over 30 years. She lectures throughout the mid-Atlantic region, has contributed to many gardening periodicals, and serves as host of central Virginia’s monthly gardening show, Virginia Home Grown, on PBS. In 2016, Ms. Singlemann was recognized by the Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association as Professional of the Year. Both new and seasoned gardeners will learn tips to keep gardens interesting all year long. Balancing flowers, foliage, bark and berries will enhance your garden by varying colors and textures in your landscape through all four seasons.
