Garden Basics: Love Food, Hate Waste
October 15 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free
Examine the problem of wasted food—how much goes to waste, why waste happens, and why waste matters—and how to keep the valuable resources used to produce and distribute food from ending up in landfills. You will learn:
- strategies to reduce household food waste;
- options for preserving food for later use, including food harvested from the garden.
Garden Basics classes are free and presented in person at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1118 Preston Avenue in Charlottesville.
Registration closes October 14th.
Garden Basics is a partnership with the Bread and Roses ministry at Trinity Church.
