PMG Speakers Bureau: How and Why to Grow Hedgerows (Sold Out)
February 6, 2024 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Hedgerows—living fences made of trees and shrubs—support biodiverse populations of birds, mammals, and insects. Popularized in the United Kingdom, this technique for growing a living boundary can be put into practice in Central Virginia. In PMG’s next Speakers Bureau presentation at The Center, Claire Denton-Spalding of the Piedmont Master Gardeners will cover the history of hedgerows, their benefits to native plants and animals, and how best to plant and maintain them in the Piedmont area. Program registration is full.
