Garden Talks at the Albemarle County Fair

On Saturday, August 2, Piedmont Master Gardeners will give short talks on “Late Summer in the Vegetable Garden” at the Albemarle County Fair, held at James Monroe’s Highland. These 15- to 30-minute talks will take place in the Highland garden.

1 p.m. Pests in the Vegetable Garden, Integrated Pest Management for Vegetable Gardens, Squash Bug in Virginia Home Gardens, by Linda Blum
3 p.m. Common Diseases of Tomatoes in the Vegetable Garden, by Linda Blum
5 p.m. Planting the Vegetable Garden for Fall: Garlic, Shallots, Greens, and Cabbage, Plus Seed-Saving Tips, by Fern Campbell
Fair admission is $5.
